Born and raised in Kenya, Olivia fell in love with movement at an early age as a way to explore the Kenyan bush. Her desire to move and explore the world led to a 500 RYT Yoga training in Rishikesh, India in 2013 followed by trainings in Taupo, NZ and Vancouver, BC. These trainings helped redefine and deepen her knowledge of Traditional Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Primary series.
In Washington state, Olivia pursued her Personal Training Certification (2016) which fueled her knowledge of Olympic Lifting and the importance of merging strength with mobility. Her work inspired her to complete a 500 mile thru hike of the Colorado trail.
Olivia then spent a year on a comprehensive Pilates training through Body Arts and Science International (BASI), traveling to CA in 2017 for her final practicum. Teaching Yoga and Pilates classes for the past four years, Olivia is known for her creative flows that challenge participants to connect with the body in a new way. In her individual sessions, Olivia works to enhance the subtlety of body awareness, cross train for specific sports and hobbies, rehabilitate after injury and nurture spiritually. Throughout her travels, Olivia has come to believe strongly in thoughtful, balanced, and grounded movement. Her approach encompasses the complexity of the entire individual and focuses on positive body image.
